Tripartite Ministerial Meeting of Cyprus - Greece - Israel, at the level of Ministers of Foreign Affairs, is taking place today in Nicosia.
The meeting will be attended by the Minister of Foreign Affairs Dr. Konstantinos Kombos and his counterparts from Greece and Israel Nikos Dendias and Eli Cohen.
According to an announcement by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the proceedings of the Tripartite Ministerial Meeting will be hosted at the Presidential Palace, with the participation of delegations from the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of the three countries.
Earlier, Dendias and Cohen, accompanied by Mr. Kobo, will be received in a formal meeting by the President of the Republic Nikos Christodoulidis. The Minister of Foreign Affairs will also have a separate meeting with Mr. Dendias, while yesterday he met with his Israeli counterpart.
As mentioned, this is the 3rd Political Dialogue meeting at the level of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs between the three countries, with the Cyprus-Greece-Israel Tripartite Cooperation Mechanism being the most advanced of the tripartite cooperation mechanisms.
As significant progress has already been made in establishing the cooperation framework of the three countries in numerous areas, the focus is now on defining the next steps with the aim of further strengthening and deepening the cooperation, as well as expanding the synergy network in the region.
At approximately 12.20 pm the three Ministers are scheduled to make statements to the media.
