Moments of happiness for prisoners & their children (Video)

For the second consecutive year, children's events were held in the Prisons
Two major children's events were organized by the Directorate of the Prison Department on the occasion of International Children's Day and in the context of its strategic goal to further develop the family ties of prisoners and in particular to strengthen relations with their children.

An announcement from the Prison Department states that "the children and their parents played on inflatables, danced, exercised with children's zumba, had fun with a group of magicians, face painting, mini football and more and at the end of the event, the inmates offered gifts to the children their".

He adds that the Management of the Prison Department considers "very important the support of our incarcerated fellow human beings by their families and the strengthening of ties with their children for this through its actions facilitates and contributes to the development and positive development of this relationship, the which will help them in their smoother reintegration into society ".

According to the announcement, "activities and actions such as this event are recognized by the Council of Europe as one of the best practices in terms of strengthening children's relations with their incarcerated parents".

The Directorate of Prisons participates in the working group of 10 experts of the EuroPris Organization concerning children with their incarcerated parents.

Thanks are also expressed "to the staff and detainees for their cooperation and compliance with the pandemic measures issued due to the pandemic".
