All students return to schools on May 21 (video)

A meeting at the Presidential Palace will be held from 9.30 am under the chairmanship of the President of the Republic, Nikos Anastasiadis, with the participation of the Minister of Education, Prodromos Prodromos, on the burning issue of the reopening of schools in the midst of a pandemic.

Specifically, the meeting is chaired by President Anastasiadis, with representatives of the trade unions POED, OLTEK, OELMEK, PSEM and the Parents' Associations of Primary, Primary, Secondary, Special Education, as well as with representatives of Paidovul.

According to exclusive information from ant1.com.cy, on May 21, all students of all levels of education will return to schools.

May 21st is set as the first day of the second phase of the phasing out of the restrictive measures.

As we learn, kindergartens, elementary schools, high schools, lyceums and technical schools will close on June 27.

Also, exams are not expected to take place except for the senior students of the GYL Lyceum and the Technical Schools.

In yesterday's statements to ANT1 News, the Minister of Education, Prodromos Prodromou, stated that during the meeting "we will see some issues, which I also discussed in teleconferences with all organized bodies so that we can coordinate and have the best possible information. to proceed smoothly with the implementation of any decisions ".

In fact, after the end of the meeting, the Minister is expected. Education to hold a press conference and make announcements about the next phase of lifting the restrictive measures which are related to the other levels of education, while at the same time the program of the pan-Cypriot exams is expected to be announced.
