The arrivals of tourists in February 71.921 amounted to 2022, showing a decrease of 32% compared to February 2020, ie before the outbreak of the coronavirus in Cyprus.

According to data from the Statistical Service, in February 2021 amid the restrictions

For the period January - February 2022, tourist arrivals amounted to 115.865 compared to 8.936 in the corresponding period of 2021, as well as 191.214 in the period January - February 2020. Compared to the first two months of 2020, tourist arrivals recorded a decrease of 39,4, XNUMX%.

Arrivals from the United Kingdom were the main source of tourism for February 2022, accounting for 25,9% (18.618) of total arrivals, arrivals from Greece 12,2% (8.771), arrivals from Russia in 8,0% (5.732), arrivals from Ukraine 7,9% (5.711), arrivals from Israel 7,8% (5.639) and arrivals from Poland 6,4% (4.612).

According to Statistics, the purpose of travel in February 2022 was for a percentage of 64,0% of tourists holidays, for 21,5% a visit to friends or relatives and for a percentage of 14,5% business. Respectively, for February 2021, 11,6% visited Cyprus for holidays, 35,2% for visiting friends or relatives and 53,2% for business reasons.
