Meeting of Annita Dimitriou and Kleanthi Koutsofta - Discussion on joint actions of the Parliament and the Youth Organization

The Speaker of the House of Representatives, Ms. Annita Dimitriou, met today with the President, the Deputy Executive Director and the Communication Officer of the Youth Organization.

In the context of this meeting, the Speaker of Parliament praised the work of the Youth Organization and stressed the the need for young people to participate in decision-making processes on issues that concern them.  They also exchanged views and suggestions for joint actions and collaborations of the Parliament and the Youth Organization, such as the evaluation in a special conference of the laws passed by the Parliament and concerning the young people, so that the work that is produced and concerns them becomes known.

It was also stressed during the meeting that key priority issues in this collaboration, as shown by the results of the quantitative survey of the 3rd Neo-Barometer, should be employment, social stereotypes, sex education in schools, gender discrimination, school bullying, mental health .
