According to a representative of ADE Paphos, the 50-year-old was arrested on Saturday in Paphos, while according to the allegations, he managed to extort money promising to his victims that he would help them show their talent in acting.
In other cases, the so-called "actor" allegedly managed to extract small sums of money from citizens in various provinces, allegedly stating that he was facing financial difficulties and needed the money for his sick child.
In the province of Paphos, three cases have been reported while many others are estimated not to have been reported. The 50-year-old, against whom a two-day detention order was secured, is also accused of stealing a vehicle in Nicosia.
