Members of the Stroumbio Police Station located around 4.40 yesterday afternoon a vehicle in which three people were riding, moving suspiciously in a village in the province of Paphos.
The members of the Police followed the said vehicle which was immobilized in a muddy field. The driver of the vehicle got out of it and ran away while the other two persons remained at the spot.
The search carried out inside the vehicle, various objects as well as tools were found. The two persons, 21 years old and 24 years old, both from the province of Paphos, were not able to give satisfactory explanations regarding their origin and possession and were arrested for spontaneous offenses.
Further investigation revealed that the vehicle in which the two detainees were riding was the product of theft, following a burglary committed at a house in the previous period.
The two young men were taken into custody while the Paphos TAE continues the examinations.
