However, the Minister of Justice, Emily Giolitis, appealed through her intervention in the main news bulletin of SIGMA, for the images of crowds that are currently observed in the center of Limassol by carnivalgoers.

Specifically, Ms. Gioliti said "I appeal to the citizens and the parents who are watching these images. The images we see are disturbing. "The police showed tolerance in the afternoon but these images are illogical."

It is noted that from early Sunday afternoon the presence of the Police was intense, with 50 patrols in the area, not only for the traffic jam that had been observed but also to maintain distances.
