End to the measures from March 1? Relaxation in two phases

Measures and decrees to limit the transmission of the coronavirus from the beginning of March are expected to be a thing of the past, provided that hospitalizations and the rate of positivity will be reduced to numbers that the health system can withstand.

As ANT1 reports today, the Government and the experts are engaged in a road race to prepare a roadmap for the management of the pandemic and the lifting of all restrictive measures by the summer. In fact, according to the report, the roadmap for relaxation will be divided into two phases.

The only criterion for the gradual lifting of the measures seems to be the health system and the hospitalizations which according to the Epidemiologist Dr. Michalis Voniatis, if the number of hospitalizations stabilizes below 200 and if there is a decrease, then the implementation of the lifting of restrictive measures it will be easier.

The first phase of relaxation

According to ANT1, the first phase will take effect in mid-February and is expected to include an increase in the maximum number of people who can gather in homes, from 10 to 15, an increase in the number of people per table in restaurants from 8 in 10 while it is not excluded that the number of attendees at social events, weddings and baptisms may increase partially.

If the epidemiological picture continues to improve, Cyprus will take the first substantial step back to normalcy on March 1st, a day when, according to information, it is not ruled out that the division of citizens into vaccinated and unvaccinated people will gradually end.

At the same time, information from Famagusta.News states that the measure "test to stay" which has been applied in education, is not excluded beyond the National Guard to be applied in the rest of the private or public sector.

The second phase of relaxation

In the second phase of the relaxation, as reported by the report, it seems that the end of the separation of citizens into vaccinated and unvaccinated is gradually coming to an end, citizens will now have unhindered access to restaurants, nightclubs, stadiums, stadiums, stadiums, , while dancing will be allowed. Nevertheless, according to the report, it is not ruled out that for a while the tests for the unvaccinated will continue on the spot, before entering the places of entertainment or even catering.

Epidemiologists and the Minister of Health will analyze the roadmap for relaxation next Tuesday at 7:45 am, while if they finally reach its final form, the map will be submitted to the Council of Ministers for approval on the same day, at 10 am.

Any decisions will be political, which is why the last reason belongs to the Government.
