The protocol for the Pancyprian Examinations - Goes for approval tonight at the Ministry

The protocol for conducting the Pancyprian exams will be found for approval at tonight's Council of Ministers, while the extension of the school year for high school students until June 16 is certain.

The above and the promotion of high school students, announced today the Minister of Education, Prodromos Prodromou to the teachers during the teleconference that took place on Wednesday morning.

Speaking to SigmaLive, the president of OELMEK, Themis Polyviou, stated that the protocol will be found tonight at the Ministry for approval and it includes the following:

* Operation of 15 Test Centers-One in each province for students positive for the virus and at least three in each province for students who are close contacts.

* Students in the centers will be supervised by nursing staff while teachers will supervise remotely

* Students who are contacts must present a rapid test result at least 24 hours in advance

* Other students must submit a rapid test result at least 72 hours in advance

As far as the four-month exams are concerned, they will be held normally, according to Mr. Polyviou, while the positive students in this case will proceed to an exam afterwards (s.s. there will be a series of exams).

At the same time, Mr. Themis said that the year will be extended for high school students until June 16. "There will be no final exams for high school students unless they have a large number of absences," he said.

Finally, Mr. Polyviou said that he is considered certain according to him and according to the indications, the return of the students to the school units on May 10.
