A swimmer was found floating unconscious in the sea area of Kissonerga today to be transported to the Paphos General Hospital where his death was confirmed.
He is a 75-year-old tourist who had been on holiday in Paphos since August 28 and was due to leave later this month, according to police.
The man was found floating unconscious in the sea in the morning, near the hotel where he was staying.
A speedboat of the port and naval police pulled him out of the water and transported him to the port of Kato Paphos where he was picked up by ambulance and transported to the Paphos hospital where his death was confirmed.
The exact causes of death will be determined after the legal autopsy.
