For a case of theft, two persons were arrested, who were spotted shortly after midnight, by members of the Police in Limassol, riding a motorcycle that had been stolen yesterday morning, in Limassol.
The two suspects, 19-year-old men, were spotted by members of the Limassol Traffic Police, driving a motorcycle, on a street in Zakaki, and were stopped for a check since they were not wearing protective helmets, while the motorcycle did not have registration plates. From the check that followed, it was found that the motorcycle, 125 cubic meters, worth 2,000 euros, had been stolen around 9.45 yesterday morning, while it was parked outside a store in Limassol. The theft of the motorcycle was reported to the Police shortly after 4.30:XNUMX yesterday afternoon.
The two young men were arrested by the members of the Police for the unprovoked crime of theft and were taken into custody, for the purpose of investigating the case.
The driver of the motorcycle, who was driving the motorcycle without a certificate of insurance and while his learner's license has expired, also underwent a preliminary test for driving under the influence of drugs, with a positive result. Samples were taken from him for a final laboratory drug test.
The Minor Offenses Department of the Limassol Central Police Station and the Limassol Traffic Department are continuing the examinations.
