Tragedy on the asphalt: 26-year-old Kyriaki is dead

In a road collision that happened around 12.40 p.m. today on Idaliou street in the direction from Potamia to Dali, Kyriaki Evangelou, 26 years old from Potamia, lost her life.

According to the data under investigation, a car driven by the unfortunate 26-year-old woman on the road above, under circumstances that are being investigated by the Police, collided with a car moving in the opposite direction and driven by a 48-year-old resident of the Nicosia district.

The unfortunate girl was taken by ambulance to Nicosia General Hospital where the doctors on duty pronounced her dead. The 48-year-old was also taken to a private hospital where he was given first aid and remained hospitalized for preventive reasons.

The 48-year-old underwent a breathalyzer and drug test with a zero reading, while according to the preliminary tests, Evangelou was not wearing a seat belt.

The Nicosia Traffic Police continues the examinations.
