A fifty-nine-year-old man was injured with his agricultural tractor while engaged in agricultural work in the community of Statou Agios Fotiou.
According to the Press Spokesman of ADE Paphos and Head of TAE Paphos Michalis Nikolaou, on 29.12.22 at 15:15 a 59-year-old called the Police and reported that he was injured in the area of the village of Statos Agios Fotios following an accident he had with his agricultural tractor.
Members of the Paphos ADE and an ambulance went to the scene. As it was found that the 59-year-old tried to get off the agricultural tractor which was in operation, it seems that his jacket got hooked on the gear lever, causing the tractor to move forward and drag him along with it. The tractor then struck and came to rest in an adjacent stopped car.
According to the doctor on duty, the 59-year-old man who was taken to the Accident and Emergency Department of the General Hospital of Paphos, has fractures to his left ribs, left collarbone, right hand and ruptured spleen and was detained for hospitalization. His health is out of danger.
