Police handcuffed a 20-year-old man, who allegedly dragged and injured two police officers with a stolen vehicle, in his attempt to escape arrest.
According to the Limassol TAE, members of the Limassol OPE located a vehicle of the Limassol Water Supply Council in the morning, which was stolen earlier and tried to stop its driver.
He developed speed and was chased, while at some point the stolen car entered a field. When police attempted to arrest him, the driver allegedly drove the vehicle backwards, injuring two members of the Limassol Police Department.
Eventually the suspect was arrested and as it turned out, it was a 20-year-old man who was taken into custody.
The two injured police officers were transported to the Limassol General Hospital, where it was found that the first had a fracture in his left arm and abrasions, while the second had injuries to the knee of his right leg.
