UEFA rating: Israel is giving us a hard time

Our country has been chasing Israel for a week now, when we fell from 21st place in the UEFA rankings to 22nd. As we mentioned again, the target of 15th place at this stage is too far away and therefore we have to take it step by step.

At the moment our country is in the shadow of Israel, which gained ground after the victory of Maccabi Haifa against Apollon. The remarkable thing is that the Israelis closed the week in the best possible way, after the victories of Maccabi Tel Aviv (2-0 Aris) and Hapoel Be'er Sheva (2-0 Lugano) followed, to essentially make the ultimate... and to add another 500 points to their credit.

The positive thing for our island is that we did not allow them to escape, as AEK and APOEL won Partizan and Kizilzar respectively, as a result we got 400 points. The end of this competition finds Israel in 21st place with 20,875 points and Cyprus in 22nd place with 20,475 points... while the road remains long for all countries.
