VIDEO: Crowd in Strovolos for the relics of Saint Ephraim - Police on the spot

Crowds of citizens rushed for a second day to the church of Panagia Trachonas in Strovolos, in the province of Nicosia, for a pilgrimage to the relics of St. Ephraim.

In the courtyard of the church and up to the street there is a crowd with the Police talking about the presence of about 200 people.

The queue that has been created, starts from the inside of the church of Panagia tou Trachonas and ends up to the road, on the outside of the church.

Citizen complained to ANT1 that people do not keep the distances nor the measures and all this at a time when cases are showing a partial increase.

According to the Police, members of the Force are at the scene who are monitoring the situation while ensuring that the citizens observe the necessary measures and the appropriate distances.

The police officers who are there guide the citizens and call them to implement the measures reverently, check whether they have sent an SMS to 8998 for exceptional movement but also if they wear protective masks, while intervening where and where needed.

It is noted that so far no complaint has been made by the Police.

It is worth mentioning that the holy relics of Saint Ephraim from Nea Makri were found from yesterday until today at 19:00 in Panagia tou Trachonas.
