Parliamentary 2021: Cooperation of DIPA with the "Cooperation of Democratic Forces"

We are fully aware of the situation in which our country has found itself, said the President of DIPA, Marios Karoyan, announcing at a press conference in Nicosia, the cooperation with the platform "Cooperation of Democratic Forces" in view of the parliamentary elections. Marios Karoyan and Marinos Mousiouttas talked about a new, genuine, authentic central space.

Mr. Karoyan said that the country is experiencing an unprecedented health, economic, geopolitical and now institutional and moral crisis that plunges our fellow citizens into uncertainty, insecurity and devaluation.

"We believe that the minimum debt we owe to them is to help find a way out of this multiple, multi-layered and multifaceted crisis by telling the truth about its causes, proposing plans to overcome it and, above all, leaving aside prejudices and ideologies." , sterile controversies and barren dogmas ".

The goal, said Marios Karoyan, is the rebirth of a genuine and authentic Center, which will shape political developments and will be the guarantor of political and economic stability.

"A center that will potentially regain its regulatory role but also its soul which were its principles, values and ability to unite forces, to give space to the most progressive, to inspire the most creative, to express the younger generations, to generate new ideas, to promote national reconciliation, to be the common meeting place and the privileged field of convergence and action of the moderate, active and vigilant citizens ".

"Our ambition and expectation is to co-formulate a credible reform plan for a safe and consensual transition to the post-crisis era," he said, adding that the primary concern is to solve our national problem.

"We are not comfortable with the occupation. Guided by assertive realism, we will fight within the framework of the Bi-Zonal Bicommunal Federation to find a solution based on the resolutions of the United Nations and the EU-based authorities. A solution that will guarantee human rights and fundamental freedoms. A solution that will liberate and reunite our place, the people and the institutions ".

Our goal and pursuit is also, he continued, to change the productive model of our economy. To proceed with the reconstruction of a new economy. An economy, he said, of knowledge, technology, innovation and sustainability.

The President of DIPA welcomed with joy and satisfaction the political platform "Cooperation of Democratic Forces" stating that they join forces with renowned competitors, but also many young people who, regardless of common affiliation or not, share the same worries, concerns, but also the same strong will to build together the vision, but also the future that deserves in our homeland.

"Today we seal our common will to come together and work together with mutual respect, honesty, transparency, with the power of our ideas and political proposals and above all with humanity, to serve the collective good."

Together, Marios Karoyan continued, they aspire to provide practical and feasible solutions to the problems that plague us, away from false dilemmas and outdated mentalities.

"Together we will work hard to meet the citizens' anxious quest for alternative political choices. Together we bet on the renewal of our political system. "And we have no doubt that TOGETHER we will succeed," he concluded.

Together with the Democratic Party, we aspire to provide a way out for citizens who believe in moderation, prudence, but also in dynamism and creativity, elements necessary to achieve the greatest possible consensus among the political world, thus contributing to political stability in our country. said Marinos Mousiouttas on behalf of the "Cooperation of Democratic Forces".

At the same time, he said, together with the Democratic Party, they are creating a new dynamic in the central democratic space that is especially needed today more than ever.

"At a time when political life and politicians are being challenged and devalued due to entanglement and corruption, the world must be given a way out. "We are committed to co-shaping and taking the lead in passing all the necessary legislation that will help eliminate these phenomena as well as the exemplary punishment of those involved in corruption and entanglement."

"Based on the economic model of the mixed economy, we primarily focus on economic growth," he said, adding that they encourage the side-shifting benefits to society itself, through measures to support households and small and medium-sized enterprises, but also by providing incentives for entrepreneurship. .

We are united in this pillar by the continuous effort to support the middle class, the underprivileged, listening and fighting for the solution of their daily problems, said Mr. Mousiouttas.

They are also united, he noted, by the common understanding for the settlement of the Cyprus issue on the basis of UN and European Union resolutions on the Makari - Denktash, Spyros Kyprianou - Denktash Summit and the July 8 Tassos Papadopou A bi-communal federation that will simultaneously provide for the implementation of the human rights and basic freedoms of all legal residents of our Cyprus, aiming at a normal state without guarantees, invasive rights and occupation troops and the rejection of any solution that would divide our island, either in the form of a Confederation or two states.
