The Ministry of Education is hiring an additional number of school assistants for public kindergartens.
A statement said that at today's meeting, the Council of Ministers, taking into account the special conditions created in public kindergartens by the pandemic, approved a proposal of the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports and Youth to hire a total of 116 additional public kindergarten assistants for 4 hours a day. for 5 months, with the prospect of extending their work until the end of the school year, if necessary.
The recruitment of public kindergarten school assistants will contribute to the operation of kindergartens for better implementation of health protocols, child supervision and the provision of substantial assistance to children and kindergarten teachers during the remaining hours of the Timetable.
A total of approximately € 300.000 is available for the implementation of the decision.
