Ministry of Health: The situation in the intensive care unit is manageable

The situation regarding the treatment of patients with COVID-19 in the intensive care units is manageable, stated to the KYPE the Minister of Health Michalis Hatzipandelas.

In the afternoon, a meeting was held under Mr. Hadjipandelas, on the issue of the management of patients treated with COVID-19 in intensive care units.

"The situation is manageable and we see every day if we need to take any other action," said Mr. Hatzipandelas, speaking to KYPE, clarifying that patients are constantly referred to the intensive care unit of the private sector. "Right now we have sent those we could send to the private sector," he said.

Regarding the treatment of patients in common beds, the Minister said that the numbers are constantly decreasing. In particular, today they have decreased from 232 patients to 223, and by about 70 compared to the previous week.
