The Minister of Health, Michalis Hadjipandelas, was in schools on Tuesday morning (25/01) to supervise the implementation of the Test to Stay.
In statements from the Primary School of Drosia in Larnaca, Mr. Hadjipandelas said that everything is going smoothly in the specific sampling center, however in other centers problems appeared.
"This is a process that takes place throughout Cyprus and I contacted officials of the Ministry who have visited other centers. "We have identified some minor problems, which is logical and we will solve them," he said.
He noted that this measure gives parents the opportunity to know in a very few minutes whether their child will stay in school or if he will limit himself at home.
"We are proud to have implemented this measure and I want to thank Carolina Stylianou and her team who organized the whole process throughout Cyprus. "This is a groundbreaking measure and will be evaluated on Monday," he said.
Finally, when asked if there will be relaxation in the measures against the pandemic, Mr. Hadjipandelas said that a discussion will take place today and he will listen to the suggestions of the experts.
