The Ministry of Health announces that today, February 6 2022:
- 4 deaths from the disease were reported COVID-19, bringing the total number of deaths to 745.
- 224 patients COVID-19 of which 62 are in serious condition. 70,54% of patients do not have a history of vaccination.
- 19 post-COVID patients who have ceased to be infectious (declassified cases), continue to be hospitalized in intubated condition due to COVID in an Intensive Care Unit.
- A total of 85,567 disease detection tests have been performed by the molecular method (PCR) and the antigen rapid detection method (antigen rapid test).
- 2,214 (positivity rate: 2,59%) new cases of the disease COVID-19 detected by molecular tests (PCR) and antigen rapid test (antigen rapid test), raising the total number of cases in 271,605.

A. Deaths from the disease COVID-19:
The 4 deaths reported with the ultimate cause of death attributed to the disease COVID-19, relate to:
- A 90-year-old man who died on February 5 at the Limassol General Hospital.
- A 89-year-old man who died on February 6 at the Limassol General Hospital.
- An 82-year-old man who died on February 6 at the Nicosia General Hospital.
- A woman, 88 years old, who ended up on February 6 at the General Hospital of Famagusta.
Therefore, the total number of deaths with the ultimate cause of the disease COVID-19 amounts to 745, of which:
465 men (62,4%), and
- 280 women (37,6%).
The average age of those who die from the disease is 76,3 years.
B. Patients:
In total, 224 patients of the disease are treated in the hospitals of OKYPY COVID-19, of which 62 in serious condition or in MAF conditions.
Of the 62 patients in serious condition, 29 are intubated, 4 are admitted to an intravenous intensive care unit and 29 to an intensive care unit.

C. Positive incidents Covid-19 (PCR test and rapid antigen test):
