HE: When a replacement for Eide is appointed, announcements will be made
There has been no announcement of any specific change regarding the issue of the UN Secretary-General's Special Adviser on the Cyprus issue, Deputy Secretary-General Farhan Haq told reporters at the United Nations headquarters yesterday.
Mr Haq was asked, according to a statement issued by the GTP, if there was any thought of replacing the Special Envoy of the Secretary-General for Cyprus, Espen Barth Eide.
In response, Mr Haq said there was no announcement of any specific change. He added that if there is an announcement for a new Special Advisor, he will inform them in due course.
