K. Clerides: Candidates' emblems are not formed

The emblems of the candidates for the Presidency of the Republic cannot be differentiated, said the Attorney General Costas Clerides.

The opinion of the Attorney General was made at the request of the Inspector General of Elections, following an objection against the emblem of the candidate for the Presidency of the Republic, Haris Aristidou.
In a statement, the Inspector General of Elections emphasizes that after the opinion of the Attorney General of the Republic, the documents as submitted on the day of submission of candidacies, including the emblem of Mr. Aristides, can not be differentiated in any way.
Therefore, he adds, the Government Printing Office has been informed to proceed with its planning for printing the ballot, based on the sample presented to the representatives of the candidates, during the meeting of December 30, 2017.
