The independent candidate for the presidency of the Republic, Nikos Christodoulidis, is in Athens for contacts, who will hold a meeting with Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis at the Maximos Palace at 5 pm.
The meetings of Mr. Christodoulidis, as stated in the announcement, began in the morning with a meeting with the Union of Cypriot Refugees of Greece under its president Loizos Loizou, during which issues concerning the parish, the refugees living in Greece, the Cypriot state, as well as and issues related to the reconnection of Cypriots abroad with the homeland.
During his three-day stay in Athens, Mr. Christodoulidis will also meet with the Minister of Foreign Affairs Nikos Dendias, with the Minister of National Defense Nikos Panagiotopoulos, with the Minister of Migration and Asylum Notis Mitarakis, as well as with the president of SYRIZA Alexis Tsipras, the president of PASOK Nikos Androulakis, KKE General Secretary Dimitris Koutsoubas and with the Mayor of Athens Kostas Bakoyannis.
Mr. Christodoulidis will grant interviews to Greek media, while he will attend and speak at a gathering of Cypriots living in Athens.
