Global and pan-Cypriot distinctions for trained PwC accountants

Once again, trainee accountants of PwC Cyprus excelled in the examinations for the professional title of Institute of Chartered Accountants in England & Wales (ICAEW) and the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA), scoring significant success. 

Sofia Papageorgiou achieved world first place in the Financial Accounting and Reporting course in the ICAEW exams, which is worth mentioning that she had achieved similar success in previous exams, securing the first place in the world in the Audit & Assurance course.

Vitalli Aleksandrov also achieved an important distinction in the ACCA exams, securing the first place in Cyprus and the 9th place in the world in the course Audit and Assurance.

In addition, in the same exams, Kyrylo Tarnopolskyi, Marios Gikas and Dmitry Chistyakov secured the first place in Cyprus in the courses Advanced Financial Management, Governance, Risk & Ethics and Financial Management respectively and at the same time the 12th, 15th and 29th place in the world.

Another important success is the fact that the trainee accountants of PwC Cyprus secured the first two places in Cyprus in the overall ranking among the trainee accountants who completed the ACCA program. Specifically, the first place was taken by Marianna Shynkar, who had excelled in previous exams, scoring first place in Cyprus in the course Advanced Performance Management and Kristina Karmanova who took second place.

In a special event held on December 14, 2016, PwC Cyprus honored the distinguished trainee accountants in the presence of the CEO, Mr. Eugenios Eugenios and the Chief of Human Resources, Mr. Filippos Sosilos. During the ceremony, Mr. Eugeniou underlined: "The high quality services of PwC are inextricably linked to the level of its human resources. For this reason, their continuous education and vocational training is a priority ".
