The Cyprus Radio Foundation has posted a shocking documentary on the archive service of "Digital Herodotus".
The documentary, shot in 1973, presents tourists and residents of Famagusta who give their opinion on the beauty and rapid development of the city, with differing views.
People of art and letters speak to the camera, with 90-year-old teacher Michael Kuma taking a brief look back at the city of Famagusta before its industrial and tourist development.
The industry in the city exceeds all expectations, its tourism makes it known abroad and the arts flourish with the Municipal Gallery, the Sculpture School of Antis Hatziadamos and the performances at the Ancient Theater of Salamis to arouse interest.
Finally, Mayor Andreas Pougiouros talks about his dreams and goals for the future Famagusta.
