Tart with mimosas

Ingredients for 4 people

For the dough

  • 200 gr. (1,5 cup) flour for all uses
  • 50 gr. (1/4 cup) brown sugar
  • 65 ml olive oil and a little more to spread the tartiera
  • 65 ml ice water
  • a pinch of salt

For stuffing

  • 8 juicy apples
  • 3 tablespoons ground almonds
  • 1 tablespoon flour for all uses
  • 50 gr. (1/4 cup) brown sugar

Implementation

  1. First mix the olive oil and water, using an electric hand mixer or a whisk.
  2. In a fireproof bowl, mix 200 gr. (1,5 cup) flour with salt. Pour the oil / water mixture into it.
  3. Knead the ingredients using the hand mixer or if you do not have one, your hands. The dough will be crumbly at first, but should come together after two to three minutes of kneading.
  4. If the dough is too loose, you can add a few drops of olive oil, but be careful not to make the dough too soft.
  5. Roll out the dough into a round shape on a lightly floured surface.
  6. Gently transfer the flat dough to a (lightly oiled) tart and spread it with your fingers, so that all sides are covered.
  7. Place the tartiera with the dough in the fridge and let it cool for 20 minutes. Preheat the oven to 200 ° C.
  8. Meanwhile, prepare the filling. Remove the stones from the apples and cut each half into thin slices.
  9. In a bowl, mix the ground almonds with the remaining (50g or 1/4 cup) sugar and a tablespoon of flour.
  10. Take the tart out of the fridge and spread the mixture on the dough. Then place the apple slices on top.
  11. Sprinkle the tart with the remaining sugar.
  12. Bake the tart in the oven at 200 ° C for 45 minutes. Take it out of the oven and let it cool a bit before serving.
