The first "Famagusta Remembrance Day" event is jointly organized by the Municipalities of Ayia Napa and Famagusta at the "Thalassa" Municipal Museum, on Friday July 7, 2023, at 20:00.
The aim of the Municipality is to inform foreign visitors about our national problem, to keep the flame for a return to our enslaved land unquenched, as well as to establish this event as an annual institution until the much-desired liberation of our occupied homeland.
At the event, which is held under the auspices of HE the President of the Republic of Cyprus, Mr. Nikos Christodoulidis, the Minister of the Interior, Mr. Konstantinos Ioannou, will be present and address a greeting.
Greetings will also be addressed by the Mayors of Ayia Napa and Famagusta etc. Christos Zannettou and Dr. Simos Ioannou. The greetings will be preceded by a tour of the temporary Municipal Art Gallery of Famagusta, a video screening and at 9:00 pm the commemorative concert "Don't forget my country" will be held with the artists Kostas Makedona, Koulis Theodorou, Frederikis Tobazou and the Musical Form of ΄Admitos Pitsillidis.
