Five things you do on social media and they leave you hanging

Do you upload your photos to social media every day? Is there a video with your child? Do you check in every time you are somewhere? Have you found a "surname" under his post?

If so, then be aware that these and others may expose you. And get involved, even in court adventures. See what they are.

  • Uploading an irrelevant photo you found on the internet to Facebook or Instagram (even if it is an old funny photo with a cat) can cause you trouble. Photographs circulating on the Internet may be subject to copyright. And it may seem unlikely to you, but the owner can find it and make use of his copyright. Which means it can even sue you.
  • Blaming one or another ex on social media. As much as you are hurt by a separation, as much as you are "thirsty" for revenge, as much as you want to hurt the other by exposing him in public, the only thing you can achieve is to expose yourself. And in fact, you run the risk of getting involved in legal adventures if your ex decides to sue you for defamation.
  • Make abusive, racist and defamatory comments under the post of someone and more of a public figure. He has every right to take legal action against you when the insults exceed the limits.
  • Tag a friend in a post that may offend or expose him or her. For example, if you upload a video or a photo with content that might cause it, never tag others. Unless you want to have a good morning.
  • Lastly, don't forget the dangers that come with checking in at your place of residence, showing where your home is, writing negative reviews about your work, uploading photos or videos of your children. And in general, when you share personal information on social media, which can be exploited by experts.
