In front of his wife's eyes, the 55-year-old man who was swimming in the morning in the sea of Ayia Napa disappeared.

According to the Police, around 11 in the morning, a 55-year-old tourist from Russia, while swimming with his wife in the Vathia Gonia sea area of Ayia Napa, felt unwell.
The man started coming out of the sea but just two meters from the beach, he fell unconscious and was pulled ashore by other bathers.
Men from the Ayia Napa Police Station went to the scene for examinations.
An ambulance transported the 55-year-old to the General Hospital of Famagusta, where the doctor on duty confirmed his death.
The exact causes of death of the man will be ascertained by the legal autopsy that will be performed on his body at a time to be determined later.
The Agia Napa Police Station is investigating the case.
