More than 200 athletes from 15 countries participated in AYIA NAPA TRIATHLON, which was co-organized after 2,5 years, due to the coronavirus pandemic, by NIREAS TRIATHLON and the Municipality of Ayia Napa.

A written announcement of the Municipality of Ayia Napa states that "More than 200 athletes from 15 countries took part in the three different distances for all levels, namely the Middle Distance Triathlon which consists of 1.9km swimming, 90km cycling and 21km running, Triathlon known as the Olympic Games, which consists of 1.5 km swimming, 40 km cycling and 10 km running while the Sprint Triathlon is 750 swimming, 20 km cycling and 5 km running ".

It is added that This year's event was attended by the former international basketball player Dimitris Papanikolaou, who came exclusively to cheer the adult on the Autism spectrum, Dimitris Giannis, who took part in the Sprint Triathlon and managed not only to finish second, but also to rank of".
