The role of detective has been taken over these days by the British MP Gareth Johnson, who is on our island in an attempt to solve the case of the brutal murder of George Low in 2016 in Ayia Napa.
The Dartford MP traveled to Cyprus to meet with Republic officials as well as with the pseudo-police and the occupation authorities.

The case has been heavily covered by the British media, as two years later, it remains unsolved, while yesterday's BBC report highlights the problem of occupation, which has contributed to the escape and impunity of the guilty.
It is recalled that George Low was stabbed to death in August 2016 outside a nightclub in Ayia Napa, while his friend Ben Barker was seriously injured.
The alleged perpetrators, two Turkish Cypriots, Mehmet Akpinar and Sali Ahmet, were arrested in the occupied territories for irrelevant offenses and were released despite a European arrest warrant pending against them.
According to the British MP, "the case of the assassination of George Low and the assassination attempt on Ben Barker are a national shame for Cyprus. The people responsible (for the murder) are so easily able to escape the scourge and the reasons seem to be political.
For his part, the British High Commissioner to Cyprus, Stephen Lillie, said that this is the most important case being considered by the UNHCR, which is in close contact with the Police.
