The lawyer Andreas Pittatzis spoke on the show Mesimeri kai Kati shortly after his resignation from representing the 19-year-old Brit.
Mr. Pittatzis, after clarifying that he will not go into the details that led him to resign, explained that the case was wrongly given too much publicity by the international media.
"It is detrimental to the Republic itself. From the moment there was a disagreement regarding the handling I had a duty to request my resignation. "I can not comment on the data under which I have resigned," said the lawyer.
He even added that the cases are tried in the temple of Justice and not in the media. "We will judge her shortly in the media and not in the Cypriot ones," he said characteristically.
