A 21-year-old resident of Liopetri was arrested in the early hours of Tuesday 6/3 by members of the Police, in order to facilitate the investigations into an investigated case of illegal possession and use of drugs and illegal possession of drugs for the purpose of supplying another person.
Around 1:10 p.m. Today, members of the Famagusta Traffic Police, during a traffic control, on a road in Paralimni, stopped a car driven by a 21-year-old.
Inside the vehicle, there was also, in a child seat, the 21-year-old child, four months old.
During the inspection, it was found that a strong cannabis smell was emerging from the vehicle.
A search of the vehicle was carried out by members of YKAN, who were called to the scene, during which a half-smoked, handmade cigarette containing cannabis was found and confiscated as evidence, as well as a nylon package containing a quantity of cannabis, weighing approximately 25 grams. .
The 21-year-old and his minor child were taken to his home, where the baby was handed over to his mother and then an investigation was carried out without finding anything.
The 21-year-old was then transferred to the offices of YKAN (Famagusta Provincial Ladder), where he underwent a drug test, with a positive result.
He was then remanded in custody to facilitate investigations.
YKAN (Famagusta Provincial Ladder) and the Paralimni Police Station are investigating the case.
