Three people, aged 23 and 37, from Limassol, appeared before the Famagusta District Court in Paralimni for a detention order today, regarding the case of the rape of a British tourist that took place in Ayia Napa in the early hours of Saturday, May 30th.

According to the Police, one young man, 23 years old, was arrested on Sunday morning, while the other two, aged 23 and 37 years old, were arrested today at dawn. Police are looking for another young man from Limassol, 23 years old, whose name has been placed on the list of people banned from leaving the territory of the Republic of Cyprus. According to the complaint made to the Police by the 30-year-old British tourist, the Saturday between the hours of 01.05 - 03.05 in an unknown area in Ayia Napa, she was raped by two unknown persons. The British woman was examined at the General Hospital of Famagusta by a medical examiner and the examinations did not reveal any external injuries.Source: KYPE
