Sculpture on the subject of the Hungarian refugee artist in Ayia Napa

"EXILE = Exiled, Persecuted, Rooted". This is the title of the new work by sculptor Beata Rosta from Hungary, which she created during the second phase of the 3rd International Sculpture Symposium of the Municipality of Ayia Napa.

The play depicts a couple tightly embracing, at the bottom, houses and a suitcase, thus depicting the sculptor's drama of the thousands of refugees from Syria, Afghanistan and other war zones, who leave their homes with a suitcase in hand. looking for a better future in European countries, but also to remind that in Cyprus 42 years later there are still refugees in their own homeland.

Refugees, uprooted, persecuted people in every land of the homeland, lost, terrified and comforted by the tight embrace of all with love and hope for a better tomorrow for the children, our grandchildren for this Planet.
