A 35-year-old man was arrested in connection with a robbery case at a kiosk in Paralimni, which was committed in the early hours of August 15th.
A spokesman for the Police Press Office told KYPE that in connection with an investigated robbery case at a kiosk in Paralimni, a testimony was obtained against a 35-year-old man and he was arrested, based on a court warrant, at 6:10 yesterday afternoon in Larnaca.
The 35-year-old was taken into custody and the Famagusta TAE is examining the case.
According to a police announcement on August 15, at 5 in the morning, the 24-year-old employee of the kiosk, reported to the police that at 4.30 am two unknown persons wearing hoods entered the kiosk. One pointed a pistol at the employee, while the other sprayed him.
The two robbers then withdrew 1.200 euros in cash from the fund and left. As they were leaving the kiosk, the two were chased by both the employee and customers of the kiosk, as a result of which one of the perpetrators was immobilized. He is a 29-year-old resident of Larnaca, who was arrested by the Police who arrived at the scene. The weapon was found outside the kiosk and according to the Police, it is an air pistol.
