But the doors, he said, are still open to anyone who wants to work with him. The intermediate space, he added, is the cohesive link that can, without dogmas and ideologies, create conditions for the widest possible consensus. As for the candidate, Mr. Karoyan said he must be a non-confrontational person who can manage risks in the national issue, the economy and internal affairs.
Mr. Karoyan was also asked about the letter of the vice-president of DIKO Nikola Papadopoulos for convening the party secretariat which will discuss whether the meeting with AKEL should take place. He said that he did not consider it appropriate to respond to the letter, because he would discuss the issue in person with Mr. Papadopoulos.
