These are the Cabinet's decisions on the "Children's Home"

The Council of Ministers met in the morning under the President of the Republic, Mr. Nikos Anastasiadis. The following decisions were taken:

The Council of Ministers approved the building expansion of the "Children's Home" to cover the existing growing needs for the management of cases of child sexual abuse

The decision was taken after finding that the needs for child sexual abuse case management are increasing. The expansion of the Children's Home was deemed important for better spatial planning of the space and upgrading of the services provided, with the ultimate goal of covering all forms of violence against children.

The Council of Ministers approved an increase in the budget of the "Grant Scheme for the Installation or Replacement of Solar Systems for the Production of Hot Water for Residential Use 2022" to 950.000 euros.

The application process for the Scheme in question will remain in effect until 1 October 2022 or until the final submission of 1.800 applications, whichever comes first. The decision to increase the budget took into account the increased interest in the Sponsorship Scheme in question.
