Messenger is probably used by everyone who has Facebook. The company behind it, which was recently renamed Meta, is now trying to expand its encryption, as Mark Zuckerberg announced last Thursday. This way, screenshots in online chats become more difficult. Why;

The CEO of Meta, warned that Messenger users, from now on users will be notified if someone takes a screenshot of the messages that appear in the "Disappearance Mode", since these messages are sent in order to disappear at some point.

Zuckerberg wrote in a post: "There is a new update for encrypted conversations in Messenger, from end to end, so you will be notified if someone takes a disappearing message in a screenshot." He even said that GIFs, stickers and reactions will be added to the secret encrypted conversations.

The text of the Post was accompanied by a screenshot of a conversation between him and his wife, Priscilla Chan. In this conversation, the founder of Facebook makes a joke - a pun on a super-computer baby and how his child calls him ("Data" is successful) and the end mentions that he saw that his wife took a screenshot since this was reported in chat from Messenger.

So Meta seems to be fulfilling its promise to enhance security and privacy in its applications.
