And finally the bet seems to be won slowly. Especially if we take into account the initiative of Airbnb, which rushed to buy one of the dilapidated and abandoned houses for 1 euro, and turn it into a traditional farmhouse in the Italian countryside.

The property is located in a small village, Sampuko, which in 2016 was awarded as the most beautiful in the neighboring country. It is about 80 km from Palermo, the largest city in Sicily.

And what did Airbnb decide to do with this house? The following is simple: Give it to anyone for the price of 1 euro, provided they stay in the area for at least 12 months, ie for one year.

"He should have a passion for nature, Italian culture and play his own role in the rebirth of the place," the popular platform wrote in the relevant ad. "Those who stay there should be willing to contribute to village life."

Naturally, there are already enough applications from interested parties. After all, it is a beautiful traditional village in the south of Italy.
