The Limassol District Court today sentenced the 2017-year-old driver of the vehicle involved to death in prison for the deadly road collision that occurred in March, 10, and resulted in the death of a 28-year-old boy.
Following the hearing of the case and after, based on the evidence presented by the Prosecution before the District Court, the Court found the 28-year-old guilty of the crime of causing death by reckless, reckless or dangerous act, as well as the crime of vehicle speeding, imposed on him a prison sentence of two years, as well as deprivation of his driver's license for a period of two and a half years.
The fatal road collision occurred shortly after 3.00 pm, on March 14, 2017, on Kosti Palamas Street, in Limassol, where a 10-year-old boy, while crossing the road, was hit and injured by the car that the then 24-year-old was driving. The unfortunate boy was transported by ambulance to the Limassol General Hospital, where, despite the efforts of doctors, he succumbed to his injuries.
