The TAE of Limassol proceeded to the arrest of a 34-year-old employee of a company selling electrical goods, as a suspect for the embezzlement of a sum of 211 thousand euros.
According to the Police, the complaint was made by the 54-year-old owner of the company, when after checking its bank account, he found that, between December 7, 2021 and June 5, 2022, 18 money transfers were made to the personal account of his 34-year-old employee, without any authorization.
A court warrant was issued against the 34-year-old and he was arrested, while he is expected to be brought before the Limassol provincial court tomorrow for the issuance of a detention order.
When questioned, the suspect made some allegations, which are being investigated.
