The doctor with the fake vaccination certificates did not admit any of the accusations

The 12-year-old doctor from Larnaca replied that he did not admit to the 53 charges that were pronounced today before the Permanent Criminal Court of Larnaca - Famagusta regarding a case of issuing false vaccination certificates to his patients.

During today's proceedings, the 53-year-old replied "I do not admit" to the 12 accusations leveled against him by the representative of the Prosecution Authority.

Specifically, the six charges concerned one person who died at the General Hospital of Famagusta, which operates as a Referral Hospital for patients with coronavirus, after an examination by the Police revealed that the patient confessed to medical and nursing staff of the Hospital that he had obtained a certificate Covid-19, while he had not been vaccinated.

The other six charges concern a second patient who died while being treated for coronavirus at the Famagusta Hospital and appeared to have been vaccinated through this doctor, however it is said that he has not been vaccinated.

The Criminal Court ordered that the 53-year-old be released on restrictive terms, ie to hand over all his travel documents, his name to be placed on the stop list and to sign a financial guarantee of 50 thousand euros with a valid guarantor.

The defense attorney of the accused did not object to the restrictive conditions imposed by the Criminal Court on the 53-year-old.

It is recalled that the accused faces charges related to conspiracy to defraud, preparation of a forged official document, circulation of a forged document, registration with false representations and false entries in files or other documents of the Health Insurance Organization.

The Criminal Court also set April 11 as the date for the start of the hearing.
