A 45-year-old man from Paphos was found guilty of murder by the Permanent Court of Criminal Appeals that met in Paphos, Sigma correspondent Marios Ignatiou reports.
The 45-year-old was in custody for an investigation of a fatal accident involving a 60-year-old victim in Paphos, while today he appeared before the Permanent Criminal Court, which found him guilty of murder.
The 60-year-old Androulla Papachristoforou breathed her last on the evening of December 19, when she was dragged by a car while the driver of the vehicle abandoned the victim and disappeared from the scene.
The Criminal Court will reconvene on April 6 to impose the prison sentence on the 45-year-old.
