The Coronapass application cannot be implemented without the consent of the Office of the Commissioner for Personal Data Protection, the Commissioner herself said speaking on the show Mesimeri kai Kati.
Ms. Irini Loizidou-Nikolaidou stated that, "the application announced by the Ministry of Health, is in the process of consulting with our office if there is an issue of violation of personal data or if it can apply under certain conditions."
He added that the Office was aware of the Government's views on Coronapass "but it is well known that they also need an impact assessment. This consultation has not preceded any decision. It's not too late but without our consent the application cannot work ".
Finally, Ms. Loizidou, regarding the decision to indicate written evidence from Monday, May 10, said that this is a Government decision and regarding personal data should be checked only by the Police and authorized persons.
