Football slogans, on the occasion of today's cup final, were written by unknown people on the walls of the XNUMXth Primary School of Agios Ioannis, a fact that the President of the Ephorate of Hellenic Schools of Limassol, Dinos Ellinas, condemns in statements to KYPE.
It is not possible that an entire school wants to be painted because we have a cup final in football, said Mr. Hellinas, noting that the perpetrators did not leave any outdoor area where they did not write slogans.
"What bothers and worries is why we connect football with school grounds and these vandalisms take place", he continued, while he spoke of an uncontrolled situation in some schools, which are considered, as he said, "high risk".
The restoration will cost several thousand euros, he said and noted that, if the suspicions about specific students are confirmed, the parents themselves may be asked to cover the costs.
We need and demand permanent guarding of these high-risk schools, from 15:00 until the morning hours, added the President of the Limassol School Ephorate.
