Cyprus condemns the Taliban's decision to ban women from studying at Universities
Cyprus, through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, condemns the decision of the Taliban in Afghanistan to ban the study of women in universities.
"This is a regrettable step backwards for Afghanistan and a blatant disregard for fundamental rights and freedoms," the Foreign Ministry said in a tweet.
"We stand by all Afghans in relation to their demand to exercise their human rights on the basis of International Law," he notes.
