Episodes broke out in the "Limnes" hospitality area in Menogeia.
The incident took place yesterday at around 6:30 in the afternoon when about 22 immigrants from Nigeria who are being accommodated at the site temporarily until their repatriation, protested making demands regarding their deportation process.
After they were given relevant information by site officials, they continued to protest and subsequently set fire to two counter tents located in the site, causing extensive damage worth approximately 2000 euros.
Afterwards, they moved towards the administration area and reinforcements were called, resulting in the incident ending.
The Fire Department rushed to the scene to extinguish the fire while the Police also intervened to restore order.
